Meenu's Grand Entry

Meenu came today evening at 4:20 pm, one week earlier than her due date. Amma's pain started by around 12:00 in the afternoon. By 12:45 pm, when Achan started the car, Amma's pain had become unbearable. We soon reached University hospital in Geelong, where Meenu came out after 4 hours of labor. Achan and Ammumma were with Amma the whole time when the doctors helped Meenutty come out with a vacuum pump. You did not cry a lot, Meenu. Just a very feeble whimper.
Ammumma was the first person that Meenu saw when she was placed on Amma's stomach. Achan had to wait for some time to come around and see Meenu.
The midwives wiped all the blood and fluids and wrapped you in a towel. You were looking very beautiful Meenu. While the doctors were working on stitching a small tear in Amma, Achan and Ammumma were looking at your face and hands.
You weighed a healthy 3.2Kgs. The doctors then gave you vaccination for Hep C. Two needles were injected, one on each leg. Achan and Amma was a bit scared, but you were very brave. You did not cry!
That night you slept very peacefully, while Achan and Amma's life were changed forever!
